Macular Degeneration
Macular Degeneration is a deterioration or breakdown of the macula which is a very small zone in the retina.
The most common causes of macular degeneration are related to age or the natural aging of the organism. There are two types of macular degeneration related with age: “dry” (atrophic) and Wet (exudative).

Certain types of “wet” macular degeneration can be treated with laser surgery, which is a relatively brief and painless procedure.
